Eaton Surge Protective Devices (SPD's)

Eaton SPD Series surge protective devices are the latest and most advanced UL 1449 3rd Edition certified surge protectors.
Units are available in all common voltages and configurations, and in a variety of surge current capacity ratings from 80kA through 400 kA.

• surge current capacity: 80kA, 100kA, 120kA, 160kA, 200kA, 250kA, 300kA, 400kA (higher capacity means higher/better protection).
  • the 200kA to 400kA ratings are typically used for protection of service entrance panels
  • the 80kA to 160kA ratings are typically used for protection of branch panels (assuming service panels are already protected)
• feature package: (the surge protection level is the same for any of the three packages)
  • Basic: LED status of each phase and neutral to ground when applicable
  • Standard: same as "Basic" plus audible alarm, plus Form C relay contact and EMI/RFI filtering
  • Standard w/ Surge Counter: same as "Standard" plus surge counter
